This is the rear fender off of a 2007 Softail® Nostalgia®. The customer, Jim Manzela, wanted the overall look of the fender to be stock, but with four inches added to the length. We sketched out the original fender on a piece of cardboard for reference and sketched in an additional four inches so we had some kind of plan for our template.

So we took a fender Jim bought on eBay and cut it, then made a cardboard template to go between the upper fender and the lower curved part.

I cut the metal, shaped it by hand and with the planishing hammer, then welded it in.
