Condor Machine was commissioned to refurbish a 4HP Bridgeport vertical mill by Lawler Gear. Lawler Gear is a family-owned business in Lee’s Summit, Missouri operated by Ray Lawler. This Bridgeport was in really bad shape when it came in. Over the course of about five months the machine was stripped down and rebuilt, scraped in and repainted. This is a picture of the saddle of the mill on the Mattison surface grinder.

This is me by the finished Bridgeport, ready for pickup. The mill turned out beautifully. Gerard’s hand scraping is a work of art in my opinion: it really makes the machines come to life.
